Lille OSC – Season 2021/22 Statistics Overview

With the FM Tool application at my disposal, I can analyse the players of my team, French league or other competitions at any time. Below I will check what season 2021/22 the Lille OSC players had, including those on loan and who was the best in Ligue 1.

Lille OSC

Lille OSC currently consists of a total of 62 players, including all teams and loaned players. Players on loan this season were:

  • Hakim Ouro-Sama, 24 years old, centre defender, Red Star (Domino’s Ligue 2)
  • Elias Machuca, 19 years old, centre defender, Ajaccio (Domino’s Ligue 2)
  • Benoit Badiashile, 21 years old, centre defender, Sochaux (Domino’s Ligue 2)
  • Jaly Mouaddib, 21 years old, centre midfielder, Desp. Aves (Premier League – Portugal)
  • Florent Da Silva, 19 years old, centre attacking midfielder, Nurnberg (Bundesliga)
  • Sergio Gomez, 21 years old, centre midfielder, Borussia M’gladbach (Bundesliga)
  • Amine Gouiri, 22 years old, centre striker, Guingamp (Ligue 1)

We will start the season analysis by using all players from the club. For players who only played in Lille 2 team, their stats from this team will be used.

Goalkeepers

  • Saves/90 vs Conceded/90

Despite the fact that Mike Maignan is a player of the first squad, unlike the other two goalkeepers (French National 2) he obtained the best saves per game ratio.

Tackles and Interceptions

  • Tackles/90 vs %Tackles
  • Tackles/90 vs Interceptions/90
  • Tackles Completed vs Tackles Attempts
  • Tackles Attempts vs
    Key Tackles

Both of Lille’s main side-defenders (Amian and Bradaric) are in the lead in each of these comparisons, which proves that they were rightly selected for these positions. However, more important is the player who is in the first place on 3 out of 4 charts. Ouro-Sama. His high number of tackles/90 with high number of interceptions/90 is very impressive. It is impossible not to mention as many as 20 key tackles.

Headers

  • Headers won/90 vs %Headers won
  • Headers attempted vs Headers won

Ouro-Sama returns to the top of one list, but the more important player is the leader of the second chart, Benoit Badiashile, whose development in Lille is very much counted upon. Already at the level of Domino’s Ligue 2, he shows that he can fight for the top balls.

Passes

  • Key passes/90 vs Chances created/90
  • Pass attempts/90 vs Passes completed/90
  • Passes completed/90 vs Chances created/90
  • Cross attempted vs Passes completed

Sergio Gomez‘s position on the charts shows that after this loan to a strong Bundesliga, he should be ready to play in the first squad. Given Gonzalo Villar‘s desire to leave, perhaps the change will go unnoticed. Also, Maxime Pau, a Lille 2 player, who is beginning to aspire to appear in the first squad, appears high up.

Assists

  • Dribbles/90 vs Assists/90
  • Assists/90 vs
    Key passes/90
  • Chances created vs Assists
  • Goals/90 vs Assists/90

Again, Sergio Gomez and Gonzalo Villar are at the top of the lists. One should pay attention to the amazing effectiveness of young Ciro Boni – 1.0 assist per 90 and 1.0 key passes per 90.

Goals

  • Goals/90 vs %Shots on Target
  • Goals/90 vs Shot/90
  • Goals/90 vs Shots on Target/90
  • Goals vs Penalties scored
  • Average Minutes Per Goal vs Goals
  • Team goals/90 vs
    Team conceded/90

Another of the young players who stood out last season is Mohamed Bangoura, who led several goals charts. As for the first line-up, as expected, Victor Osimhen and Exauce Mpembele Boula stand out on most of the charts.

Ligue 1

The analysis of players from the entire Ligue 1 take into account the full squad of each team, excluding Lille.

Goalkeepers

  • Saves/90 vs Conceded/90

Two goalkeepers from the top of the list ended up here because of their teams’ poor defense. Boucher (Auxerre) and Rajkovic (Amiens). Both of these teams were relegated to a lower league.

Tackles and Interceptions

  • Tackles/90 vs %Tackles
  • Tackles/90 vs
    Interceptions/90
  • Tackles Completed vs
    Tackles Attempts
  • Tackles Attempts vs
    Key Tackles

The most notable players are Diego Laxalt (Nantes) and Haitam Aleesami (Amiens). 25 key tackles at Ligue 1 level are impressive. Mathias Suarez (Montpellier), who can boast of a large number of Interceptions/90 and Tackles/90, turns out to be a very universal player.

Headers

  • Headers won/90 vs
    %Headers won
  • Headers attempted vs
    Headers won

A footballer to watch out for is Konstantinos Mavropanos (Montpellier), who can boast of
over 8.00 headers won/90, as the only player of this season Ligue 1. Taking into account the analysis of Lille and the outstanding in the head game Badiashile, Lille’s manager can look at the Montpellier player thinking of creating a defense consisting of two tall, good in the air players.

Passes

  • Key passes/90 vs
    Chances created/90
  • Pass attempts/90 vs
    Passes completed/90
  • Passes completed/90 vs
    Chances created/90
  • Cross attempted vs
    Passes completed

The player that apperas on every chart, very universal, is Marco Verratti (PSG). It shows with statistics from this season why he has come so far and has been playing at the top for so many years. But the player with stunning numbers of key passes/90 and chances created/90 is Youssouf M’Changama (Guignamp). This is due to the fact that he only played 190 minutes in Ligue 1.

Assists

  • Dribbles/90 vs
    Assists/90
  • Assists/90 vs
    Key passes/90
  • Chances created vs
    Assists
  • Goals/90 vs Assists/90

The assists charts vary greatly when it comes to players. Mehdi Merghem (Guingamp) has a dribbles/90 rating over 10 with around 3 games played, which is an amazing number. Yoel Armougom (Caen) has a number of almost 1.0 assist/90. Yet another PSG player proving why he is where he is is Neymar with 16 league assists in season.

Goals

  • Goals/90 vs %Shots on Target
  • Goals/90 vs Shot/90
  • Goals/90 vs Shots on Target/90
  • Goals vs Penalties scored
  • Team goals/90 vs Team conceded/90

Charts with goals were taken over by one of the best players of the season, Pietro Pellegri (Monaco). An amazing 30 goals, with only 2 penalties. Another PSG player appears next to the next category of charts, this time Julian Draxler. Young Henry Onyekuru (Marseille) with 17 goals also deserves a mention.
